OneTen is my newest assassin. Created with the sole purpose of exploring the changes in the 1.10 patch. She is unrestricted and not very interesting.
As of the end of the claw viper temple her build is as follows: 18 Claw Mastery, 3 Burst of Speed, 2 Weapon Block.
Gear: 2 rare scissors katars, average damge 17.5 and 17, respectively. Rings 1 DR, and Cathan's Seal (a spot of good luck). A 1 DR ammy. Berserker's Headgear helm (I've had good luck with set items). Nothing else of note.
Act 1
I did this on players 8 with the exception of Andariel. It was cheap but the act is boring as hell otherwise. I spent most of the act trying to gamble some decent weapons.
Act 2
So far, so boring. I apparently rolled the all bugs, all the time map. I've had nothing but those horrible LE beetles. Even so it's not been too bad. Atma is avenged, the cube is recovered (yess! the stash rejoices), the staff is reassembled. I'm looking forward to the Arcane Sanctuary.
Right now OT's resists are horrible. The mages in the harem are going to eat her lunch... as will almost all the monsters in the sanc. My next task is to try and fix this. Charms, perhaps. Not sure. Juggling gear gets old after a while.

I did have the fortune of seeing one unique: The Diggler. I about fell out of my chair laughing.
With some luck I'll be able to get her to 27 or 28 tonight. Then I'll attempt to gamble up a quhab or two. I don't really have a handle on the mechanics of gambling exceptionals. Scissors Katars have a qlvl of 24... so they start showing up in the gambling window around clvl 19. Quhabs weigh in at qlvl 28 so I assume I'll have a VERY SMALL chance of gambling them starting around clvl 23. Fortunately gambling Katars is cheap.

Well, the harem, arcane sanc, and tal rasha's tomb went far better than I expected... up until Duriel. You'd think by now I'd remember that he has that freeze aura. Hopefully this is the last time I will learn that. Duriel has too many hitpoints normally. On players 8 he's simply not fun. Wont do that again.
After a rediciulously protracted battle oneten emerged victorious. Duriel was stingy with his items.
I think I'll be sticking around act 2 for a while. Rune drops in the sanc were very very good and with the new cube rune recipes it's worth hanging around to stock up. We'll see how long my patience lasts, though.
My quhab gambling was a mixed success. No quhabs but one very nice katar. Funny how a clvl 1 item with the right mods can trounce a clvl 24 item. Overall I spent about 190k. That's about 28 katars worth. Most of it was gambled at level 26. I will continue trying up to 100 katars before I get to clvl 28, if possible. I suspect gambling exceptionals works slightly differently from normal items with respect to when they become available.
