I have to share this. This evening I went to Ultimate Electronics and purchased a DirecTV dish and receiver for $56. I came home and Matt and I installed it, ordered programming, and were watching the scifi channel. All of this took about 3 hours, which got us done just before the premiere of the new Dune series... which was the point of the whole endeavor. How cool is that? I love our modern era.

I must say, I am very impressed with Dune so far. It far surpasses it's movie predecessor in many areas. Definitely worth watching in my opinion. Check it out.

In other news, I managed to purchase a copy of the original Final Fantasy for NES on fleabay. Pfe3r it's 8-bitness... Next stop: Final Fantasies 1, 2, and 3 for the famicom.

The Dish
Doh, I wish you would have said something about wanting to get a dish. I'm guessing you did that on a bit of a whim.

the Sci-Fi Dune doesn't suck
It's good, even. ;) I tuned in just in time to see Alia get horribly messed up by the Reverend Mother transference, which has always been my favorite part. My only gripe is that the characters don't physically look like I always thought they should....
