Welcome to the dawn of a new era. :)

I am trying something new. I'm exploring the possibility of doing the whole update using cgi-scripts. This is the earliest fruit of that effort. We shall see, non?

Thrill as Jared joins the new millenium. Everything you see here is coming to you from the depths of a mysql database. Cool, huh? *feels cheesy*

The way this works is simple and kinda neat, if I do say so (and I do... I mean, come on. I wrote it). This cgi-script looks in table in the database called 'templates' for this entry. The template is just an html file with a little bit of extra crap in it, like so:

 <html> <head> <title>This is a test template</title> </head> <body> <center> <table width=600> <tr><td align=center><b>The Headspace</b></td></tr> <tr><td> #body# <br> </td></tr> <tr><td> <p><b>Extra Stuff</b></p> #extra# </td></tr> <tr><td> <br> <p><font size=1><i>" #lyric# "</i></font></p> </td></tr> </table> </center> </body> </html>

All of that results in this page. Every time you see something between two hash marks that represents a database query. For instance, #body# would look for everything with a date (entry name) matching the one requested and category of body and dump it out to you. I dig it.

Todays musical recommendation represents a cop-out on my part. Go and find a new song (ie one you haven't heard before) that you like and send it my way. If you find something really outstanding I'll put it up here

For those of you that don't ever read the index page (And I can respect that) my webcam now has a new home. Repoint your links to cam.html.
