I saw on /. that blogger had been hacked. It must suck to be such a high profile company that every time you have the smallest security problem the whole web goes apeshit. It probably wasn't even that bad. I hope that Evan is doing OK in the face of all this attention.

I was looking at his site the other day and it really strikes me as odd how many geek-chic types he must be peripherally associated with. His connection with blogger and his writing style always leaves me with the odd sensation he knows everyone.

Anyway...

I've been working on revamping the whole headspace comments system. Hopefully I can roll out a new version soon. Right now the whole thing feels a bit hokey to me. In reality the whole comments system is what makes the headspace work and I'm not happy with the design. Bleh.

...

I guess that's all I have right now. Must be the weather. Any of you all up to anything interesting?

Alternative Media Class
As far as interesting stuff goes, I'm working on a research paper for my alternative media class about blogging. My working thesis is "by aggregating content from a variety of sources and providing commentary bloggers and their avid readers gain a sense of empowerment in a world dominated by corporate media interests." I hope I can come up with 25-30 pages of this stuff, but I want to source a lot of this through email interviews. Loophole, I was planning to send you a survey about The Headspace, which I locate in the pantheon of blogging.
