I can recommend Firefly if you're looking for some tv on dvd viewing. It's a well-produced space cowboys show. Good stuff. Sort of a live-action cowboy bebop minus Yoko Kanno and Seatbelts, if that tells you anything.

On my mood: work's making me unhappy. This oracle insanity refuses to die in the face of overwhelming evidence it's never going to work for us. I have one simple request for any of my potential future managers: tell me the problem you want solved. It's that simple.
