I've been tinkering with the RSS in the hopes of getting something a little more compliant. I'm a bit unsure of what to put in the description element. I'm currently abusing it with the entire body text of the entry. That seems like a violation of the semantics of the element, though. Even more troublingly, there seems to be a significant amount of debate about the desirability of embedding html in xml. I must say I can definitely understand the arguments against it.

++karatop and I are currently without broadband at home. Strangely, it appears that the ethernet receiver on the dsl modem has died. I would have expected problems on the DSL side long before this. Ah well. Interestingly, while you can buy cable modems at the normal geek outlets, there are no dsl modems to be had. I guess I have no choice but to talk to bell. Ugh.
