Saw Bruce Almighty this evening here in Westminster Co. I didn't expect to see it but Matt and I were bored. It was cute and had a good point. Honestly, Jennifer Aniston doesn't hurt my eyes. The movie has a lot of funny moments and I have to confess that I derive a fair amount of satisfaction from the thought of Morgan Freeman as god.

It was a surprisingly subversive flick.

I was brushing my teeth this evening and realized just how sickening they've started looking. Starting wednesday I am going to stop neglecting to make dental appointments. Glah! I apologize to any of you that might have seen my teeth lately.

I want to say a special thank you to Annie for taking Matt and I out to see some of Denver. She took us to this painfully hip bar slash coffee place. Neat stuff.

Westminster Co. is pretty. I recommend it. In the seeming tradition of Denver's suburbs it's... uh... suburban. It's still pretty. It's novel to be some place with clean, dry air. I'm loving it.

One thing that being here has made me realize is that life is too short to spend all in one place. I think it's time to start looking for something new. It's not that Tulsa is a bad place to live... it's not. Nor is it an especially good place to live.

In case you were wondering, I'm in Colorado for the ja-sig's (java architecture special interest group) semi-annual conference. This particular conference is focussing on their uPortal project. I've been very impressed by the things I've seen and the people I've talked to here. I've learned a lot. Even if we never consider implementing uPortal this was time well spent.

I have allowed myself to become jaded about the whole portal idea. This has breathed new life in to it for me. The people here are really doing some neat things.

Maybe it's just me but I think there is something about being in the mountains that makes you take stoc of things.
