Bwahahahahah! I got to see Bela Fleck last night at the Oklahoma Blues Festival... Vic Wooten was there on bass. My god, those people are talented. People that competent are amazing to watch. It is my mission to go buy Bela Fleck CDs until I have all the CDs from which I have mp3s. I am delinquent.

I would love to try and describe the show to you... but you'd get sick of superlatives. They did a tune called (I think) Two Horn Blues that I particularly enjoyed.

The illustrious Shieldmaiden was kind enough to join me for the show. Maxx, his SO, and her daughter were there... as were Average_Joe, his wife, Finch, and the friends of Joe. It looked like everyone was having a good time.

Bela Fleck...
I am SO jealous! My boyfriend's off seeing Bela Fleck and I'm stuck in Norman with a bad case of "Finals Week" and a touch of the "Capstone Paper"... damn. :) (I'm not really that jealous, I'd rather be doing ANYTHING than what I have to do this week) I'm really glad Loop didn't tell me about it because I'd have screwed off my paper and made a run to Tulsa! :)

Excellent show!
Yep, Bela Fleck were quite amazing. But were you disappointed with Steve Earle going on right after them? It was kinda like having to listen to a not-very-funny friend tell jokes in the car after a Chris Rock concert. Susan Tedeschi saved the day, tho'...

common sense made a fool of me
Since we're on the topic of music, I heartily recommend the Spiritualized song "Don't Just Do Something." Loophole, this is your song. Napper it anon!
