I promise you, my friends, this week can NOT get any better than it has been.

Complexity is the order of the day. When I say complexity I mean it in the mathematical sense. It's strange when you think about it. The things we think, say, and do are so simple when taken by themselves. When you put it together, though, all hell breaks loose. It's the magic of interaction: you take simple building blocks and begin sticking them together and what emerges is something so much more. It's madness, it's creation, it's the devil peeping out of the details.
In case you can't tell I'm on a dramatic bent today. I am trying to capture some of the everyday magic. Words in ears, frames of mind and trains of thought, the group vibe. It all comes together to produce a swirl of interaction that is human relationships. Chemistry, ya dig?
Have you ever seen any of the animated fractal renderers? My favorite thing about these dancing number-cum-pixel ephemera is the way some details can explode into focus and then slip away quietly while others creep up so subtlely as to be almost imperceptible until they are fully upon you. Personal interaction is no different in this respect.
It's neat.

Some of those most interesting people I know share one trait: they know how to take my train of thought, derail it, and send it off in new and interesting directions. Have you ever been talking to someone only to find that some observation they shared with you casually has suddenly made you see something (even the most mundane something) in new ways? As cheesy as it sounds everytime this happens to me I feel like a door opens. *shrug*

I think I've had just a little too much sugar today. :P
Album rec: The Chillout Album. This is a collection of <convenient house derivative label> tracks. Some really badass stuff. Massive Attack, Moloko (that track from the Batman soundtrack), The Orb (Fluffy clouds, baby), etc. Very very nice. Say it with me: niiiiice ;) Big tanks to Kara for turning me on to this one.
Pluggage: I would ask that you go visit a few friends' websites. The lady Everstar has given her site a Gaiman-inspired sprucing. Very nice. I find her quote rotation on the front page absolutely beguiling. The Master of Hunters has been at it again. This time his website dons it's formal attire. M4dd4wg's bloggin for jesus... I wish I was this interesting. Woots all around.
Slipping through the wrong plug Slap the rotor to the beat yeah Stitching to till the pin breaks Gotcha down Onto the flatline Clap the matter It's the drop How?
