It's been one of those days. An archetypal monday. I spent the morning trying to understand why our modest collection of Treos (handheld computers) suddenly won't talk to the mail server any more. Nothing like toiling over a hot packet capture to get the juices flowing. Ahhh... the glamorous life of system administrators.

It's been chilly here lately. We're having a blast of seasonably cold weather which culminated, this weekend, in a few inches of actual snow. Thus, it was an excellent weekend for staying in. The one modestly interesting tidbit I can offer is a recommendation to see the movie _In the Mood for Love_ by Kar Wai Wong. It's the story of two neighbors whose spouses are cheating on them and their struggles to come to terms with the deception. It's a Chinese film that feels very much like Italian cinema. I'm no expert on film, though, and would be interested in your opinions.

I'm trying to change my life in two small ways this week: 1) by cutting down on the time I spend (waste) playing video games and 2) by doing more of the things I need or want to do as they occur to me. So far this minimal effort is really helping. It's amazing how easy it is to waste huge chunks of one's life.

Here's your chance to voice your opinion, my dear readers (should both of you still be reading.) In what style would you like to see me write? I could switch to more of a journal of the day's happenings. It would be a fun challenge to try and make that interesting to read. Alternatively, I could continue doing what I've been doing: reporting on my internal struggles with a smattering of what-the-hell-ever. Or, I could do something else entirely. Perhaps some fiction? I need to start writing again lest I lose the ability.

Extra

I suppose my movie recommendation should have gone here. Ah well.

Instead, may I recommend Nat King Cole's _Mis Mejores Canciones_? Actually, I don't recommend this particular recording... I'm certain there must be better. Anyway, the songs are wonderful.
